Michelle attended the 2025 Women in Airports & Infrastructure Event as part of the NZ Airports Hui Marlborough
Michelle Le Gallais joined a group of women at the Women in Airports & Infrastructure Hui representing JNP. Hosted by the NZ Airports Association women from around the country came together in Blenheim, Marlborough.
The Hui invited attendees to hear from influential women leaders within the sector. Set in the typical scenery, the event was held at Wither Hills Winery and proved to be a great opportunity for women from around the country to grow their workplace network between inspiring speakers and interactive workshops while enjoying refreshments.
The Hui focused on championing women in airports, aviation and infrastructure — industries that have traditionally been male-dominated — and it was amazing to hear stories of resilience, leadership, and change.
Michelle said she left the hui feeling energised, connected and proud to be part of an industry that is backing women — not just in words, but through real action and opportunity.
Our partner JNP Aviation Training fosters a new generation of women in aviation. The Rotorua Take Off course, run by our very own Josh Payne, reported an intake, where the girls outnumbered the boys 7 to 4! Rangatahi gain a micro-credential in Aviation Ground Handling, which introduces students to the aviation industry and opens up potential career pathways and opportunities within aviation.
